In our impermanent space (a sublet that goes through October), it's been difficult for us to keep light and not buy too much to decorate. But, it is still so important to work out of a space that inspires us!
To make the space our own in a simple way, we have a few awesome prints hung around the studio. Above Rich's desk is a print of a photo he took of our last view of the Pacific Ocean before we came out East! We also thought it appropriate to have a signed Milton Glaser print of his iconic I Love NY.
Julia Kostreva has also been keeping us inspired with her Waves and Stay Foolish prints. Both will always remind me of this year - a year of adventure and experimentation. We drove from one ocean to another, are growing our business, and are reminding ourselves to stay foolish in the sense of not overthinking change, and letting possibilities be endless.
I dream of having a studio space that will be ours for more than a few months - that we can really take time to make our own. In the meantime though, it's been so much fun to have the space to experiment. We've played with photography, calligraphy, painting, and of course continued with UI/UX design so far this year. I'm always looking forward to seeing what's next!
