We moved into our sublet in Williamsburg over the weekend, and are starting to get to know our new space. It's the polar opposite of our SF place, and that's why we chose it. It feels like New York, and we're soaking it in.
It seems very fitting to me that the majority of our light in SF was western exposure, and here in NY it's all eastern exposure. It's so interesting to see how much the sun affects our daily routines. Bright morning light convinces us to get our day started a little sooner.
We've also been exploring creative storage solutions. With no closets, we wanted to make sure that we didn't end up with piles of stuff on the floor. We did a DIY of this awesome garment rack, and are loving it!
It still doesn't feel quite real yet that we're in NYC, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this place rubs off on me. I think it's important to continuously be exposed to new people and places.
