My favorite type of food is spicy, and my favorite food of all time is a spicy tuna roll. Rich and I are always going out for sushi, so we finally decided to give it a try at home. Actually, I can't take much credit for this. Rich found this recipe, and did most of the work. Above is his sushi rice with a layer of seaweed at the center.
We bought some sushi grade tuna from our local meat market. Rich chopped it up and added Sriracha sauce and mayo.
We decided to try out a few different toppings: scallions, jalapeños, and lemons. My job was to chop these guys up. You can see my mess above.
And the final result! Certainly not professional, but I'll tell you what. It was tasty. No, delicious.
